Banbury Meadow is managed organically as a private nature reserve with Somerset Wildlife Trust certification and carefully presented as a tranquil glamping retreat, we are situated on the fringe of the historic village of Butleigh, less than a 10-minute drive from the famous town of Glastonbury, overlooking Glastonbury Tor and within the ancient Vale of Avalon.

We are a small glamping retreat that will especially appeal to people with an interest in treading lightly on the earth and reconnecting with nature and just being able to 'unplug' and relax.

We have two 6m yurts available for private rental, either as separate bookings or we are able to offer exclusive rental of the entire site for up to six guests at a time (up to 14 people for retreats by arrangement).

Retreat facilitators are most welcome to contact Tom (07375051134) regarding accommodation, hosting and catering at Banbury meadow. Sample retreat menus can be sent to you on request.

You will be provided with a beautifully spacious yurt with a sumptuous four-poster bed, cosy wood burner a fully equipped kitchen, your own private toilet and shower room, outside fire pit, BBQ and seating and free on site parking close to your accommodation. LED 12 volt lighting is provided throughout and sockets for mobile phone and tablet charging etc. .

We can offer up to 4 guests per yurt the opportunity to experience the wealth and beauty of an ancient wildflower meadow with a breathtaking view of Glastonbury Tor a stunning 180-degree view of the Mendip Hills and Somerset Levels. We are nestled within the "The Enclosure Of The Sun" the center of the Glastonbury Zodiac Star Temple. Close to various beautiful locations such as the renowned RSPB reserves at Shapwick, near Glastonbury, which harbours a multitude of birds and wildlife.

Although we have a licence for many units, we have limited ourselves to only two 6-metre yurts because we wish to keep our site peaceful, exclusive and as low impact as possible.

For ecological reasons we are unable to accept dogs (other than guide dogs) also to ensure the tranquillity of the site for other guests we are unable to make a provision for children under 11 years of age.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us on, tel...07375051134 or email... should you have any further questions ahead of booking and we look forward to seeing you soon.
